Touchstone: Experience a Colors In Motion moment:
Morning STroll The colors of New England autumn return year after year to inspire and remind us of the cycles of our existence, and how, with each revolution there is evolution.

Linda's traditional fall visit to the Noyes School of Rhythm, a gathering of friends in Tamworth, NH, evolved into innovation when she realized she had brought all her painting materials - except the brushes. Scouring the environment, she assembled sticks, leaves, blossoms, spatulas - and toothbrushes, inspiring a new style that you see in the paintings of this TOUCHSTONE.

Fall rhythms of color explode, captured in a moment of jubilee by Linda DeHart, animated by Christopher Graefe, inspiring Josh Hummel's musical epiphany. "Morning Stroll," title of this month's TOUCHSTONE, is taken from Josh Hummel's musical composition of the same name, which is the first movement of a larger string orchestral movement called "Stroll." A fitting match to Linda's expression of the experience of the glorious New Hampshire autumn.

Edna St. Vincent Millay gives voice to such passion in God's World:

O world, I cannot hold thee close enough!
Thy winds, thy wide grey skies! Thy mists that roll and rise!
Thy woods, this autumn day, that ache and sag
And all but cry with colour! That gaunt crag
To crush! To lift the lean of that black bluff!
World, World, I cannot get thee close enough!
Long have I known a glory in it all,
But never knew I this; Here such a passion is
As stretcheth me apart. Lord, I do fear
Thou'st made the world too beautiful this year.
My soul is all but out of me, let fall
No burning leaf; prithee, let no bird call.

RISD Tap Room Another cycle: this year, the 50th reunion of the Rhode Island School of Design Class of 1961, featured Linda's digital work, Colors In Motion: The Human Journey, on Saturday, October 15.

The Tap Room at RISD provided a wonderful fouth floor oasis to where visitors could ascend to refresh during the events of the weekend. Great conversations and memories were shared in the ambiance created by Colors In Motion.
