Touchstone: Experience a Colors In Motion moment:

The luminosity of clouds; the warmth of the sun, the sounds of rhythmic breath...rhythms of life that inspire a sense of inner calm when we give ourselves time to experience them.

Christopher Graefe mingles the sinuous subtleties of light and sound in this digital composition of peace and illumination, enhancing our space for contemplation, inviting us to a place of emptiness in order to "say nothing."

Sound healer Chinling Hsu, inhaling and exhaling, creates a setting for Sufi mystic Rumi's transcendent poem, "Say Nothing," recited by Persian scholar Iraj Anvar. Iraj published Say Nothing, a translation directly from the Persian of the poems of Rumi.

Reverend Beverly Dale delivers an English counterpoint to Iraj's recitation in his native tongue. As a vocalist and performer Beverly frequently weaves the inspiration of Sufi mysticism of the East into her ministry in the West.

Rolling clouds and fog banks of the Pacific inspired Linda DeHart in crafting unique paper sculptures which provide an ephemeral context. Fibers, mixed in waves of water, selectively captured on a wire screen, were shaped and molded as they gave up their moisture and the artwork emerged: reflective, translucent, and light-filled.

In an exciting synchronicity, our June TOUCHSTONE, "The Dream," debuted while two of its artists, Chinling Hsu and Angel Sananda, were presenting the first annual conference of Children of the Sun at the new SOGA Temple of Sound in Cuernavaca, Mexico. SOGA, meaning Sounds of Gaia, is a newly built prototype center for the new Earth intended for sacred gatherings, education, creative expression and consciousness expanding activities.

Angel and Chinling presented "The Dream" to the conference on June 18 and again on June 25, and "we got an incredible response," reports Chinling. "People really felt the dancer and the music blend together beautifully. That helped them to connect with their body and spirit, and the mind just [dropped away]," she wrote.

This conference was the first physical gathering of the Children of the Sun, a spiritual group that has been connecting online and meditating together for many years. The purpose of the conference is to transition to a more public awakening of their mission.

Colors In Motion celebrates this opportunity to help forward a new awakening of conscious evolution and Earth awareness.
