Touchstone: Experience a Colors In Motion moment:

Consider the veil: softness, suggestion, mystery, deception, dance, beauty, ceremony, purity. Veiled we live behind our perceptions; unveiled we transcend our view and see in unobstructed freedom.

Experience Veils through the gestures of Ruth Lieberherr, yoga teacher and visual artist. Her dance is trained and inspired by Butoh dancer Maureen Fleming. Ruth's grace and spirit are reflected in her liturgical dance with Skyloom.

Ruth's daughter, flutist Andrea Lieberherr Douglass, provides an improvisation empathetic to the struggles of veiled confinement, transcendence, and the ecstasy of release. Andrea performs a wide array of music around the world.

Ruth dances with the handpainted silks of Linda DeHart, captured in arcs of time by the long-exposure photography of Christopher Graefe. The veils finally give way to jubilant release into the spaces of Linda's veil paintings, created during the summer of 2013 as a visual exploration for this TOUCHSTONE.
