I begin by creating a kind of resonant silence—an ambience in which it feels safe to allow a feeling to emerge. Delving into the soul of the sound, my goal is to bring out an archetypal seed of emotion—but only the seed! In that context of spaciousness, each listener can feel a universal seed flower inside them in a unique and personal way. This is one way that healing happens." The score is a selection of pieces from two albums—Meditations for a New Year's Day and The Way That is Not Spoken—recorded at WGBH studios in Boston in 2006 by Alan Mattes. This compilation was edited by Jim McClure in 2014 at Betsy's Folly Studios in Lyndeborough, NH.
