Linda DeHart's passion for flowers inspires her camera eye to get very close to the essential beauty that flowers offer our senses. She painted with the intent of taking us to a new level of perception and realization towards exploring the depth experience of the flower itself; where reality meets impression.
 
Something new was discovered in this collaboration. Christopher Graefe and Linda developed new visual techniques during the digital compositing of Ambient Light, bringing forth whispers of flowers held in the embrace of paintings. While working within the imagery, Christopher noted, "There are moments in this work that are just pure ecstasy."
 
"The secret to having a good improvisation partner is carrying him around in your womb," remarks pianist Eve Kodiak, and cellist Damiel Faxon adds, "I heard thousands of hours of her practicing the piano - and she listened to me playing instruments my whole life - so when we play together, we always know where we are and where we are going." Some of the songs you'll hear - Waltz for Rowan, Milo's Lullaby - are rehearsed, based on tunes that appeared spontaneously in a practice session. But some of the pieces - Calling the Mountain, Figuring It Out - sprang fully realized in the studio, simply by opening up the silence and listening. Ambient Light runs the gamut of emotions - from a cheery dance (Waltz for Rowan) to a deep lament (Cellamento), from a folk song inspired melody (Bride in the Wilderness) to an abstract stacking of sonic shapes (Ambient Light). This music is reflected in the bright fragility of the flowers you will see - an invitation to open the heart.
