Touchstone: Experience a Colors In Motion moment

Ruth Ruth Lieberherr, Aerial Yoga Teacher, inquired how we could create a Colors In Motion art form using Aerial and Partner Yoga with her husband Karl Lieberherr and synchronized sounds with their daughter Andrea Douglass? Floating became the answer.
New England Movement Arts, where Ruth teaches, provided the perfect space to capture this exploration!

The beauty that shapes two bodies relating in space, floating in silky hammocks, touched by the colorful gestures of Linda DeHart's Hand-Painted Silks offer a fresh view of the art of Aerial and Partner Yoga. It becomes a whole world of fascination.

"Floating is defined as 'buoyant or suspended in water or air.'" remarks Ruth. "Floating can provide an experience of weightlessness and spiritual serenity. Despite often requiring physical strength, aerial and partner yoga may guide us to a state of beauty and serene weightlessness."

Andrea Andrea Douglass's innovative spacious approach to playing violin furthers the feeling of floating. She originated and synchronized her extended techniques to the mood that Yoga makes available.

Christopher Graefe employs his own extended techniques to the foundation of photography, videography, and soundscape, stretching time and shifting timbres to achieve the deep engagement that is a prime intention of Colors In Motion Touchstone audio visual meditations.
