Touchstone: Experience a Colors In Motion moment

Olmsted's Boston-area greenway known as The Emerald Necklace commissioned artist Fujiko Nakaya
to create Fog x FLO, multiple installations along the greenway using the medium of fog to expand people's experience of nature.

The quality of the environments that her fog installations created inspired several members of the Colors In Motion team to collectively pool their photographic and musical talents to create "Fog on the Greenway." Manifested from the vision of 5 photographers (Linda DeHart, Holly Campbell, Christopher Graefe, Gail Collins, and Davin Currie), this Touchstone illuminates the dance of fog moving across landscapes and seasons.

Behind this scene, team member Kaeza Fearn invited clarinetist and composer Glenn Dickson to create a lucid, meditative experience to synchronize with the moving and still imagery fluidly composited by Christopher Graefe. Glenn has made his mark with his traditional klezmer band, Shirim, and his avant-klezmer group, Naftule's Dream, performing across North America & Europe, recording on Newport Classics, Tzadik, Innova, and Rykodisc, as well as performing solo meditative music concerts.

Linda DeHart as creative director, is always looking for opportunities to elicit a meditative experience, and what better way than with fog! Colors In Motion is receptive to your suggestions of other visuals and sounds to bring a person to a place of centered calm.
