Wet includes a catalog of maritime paintings by Daniel Caldwell spanning over 20 years, including scenes from Biscayne Bay, The Bahamas, California, and New England. As a lifelong avid surfer and sailor, Daniel brings his passion for the water to his paintings.

"I think my work is uplifting and exuberant." says Daniel. "I love the energy that comes into the paintings through patterns and textures. My challenge with each painting is to convey the emotional pleasures of being alive, inviting you as the viewer to explore moments that bring you out of yourself."

Linda DeHart met Daniel at the Skip Lawrence July Painting Workshop at Hotel Pemaquid in Maine (Linda's summer studio) in 2018. She observed Daniel's passionate desire to achieve emotional responses through furthering abstraction in his involvement with water in his paintings. As Linda observed Daniel's efforts towards this goal and as Daniel learned more about Colors In Motion, a natural collaboration was born. Working with this body of work has given Christopher Graefe a new and unique opportunity to explore compositing figurative and painterly motifs with natural soundscapes that speak to these watery images.

The collaboration has given Daniel new insight into his own work. "The Touchtone creates interest and curiosity." says Daniel. "The sound edits are beautiful and soothing. Viewing it takes me to memories of the past. It's an honor to work with Colors In Motion to create uplifting and healing artforms."
